  15.   Per Curiam.
  16.   The Court is advised that the respondent died in
  17. Washington, D.C., on March 24, 1993.  The Court's order
  18. granting the writ of certiorari, see 504 U. S. ___ (1992),
  19. therefore is vacated, and the petition for certiorari is
  20. dismissed.  See Mintzes v. Buchanon, 471 U. S. 154
  21. (1985).
